The wireless RFID Adaptor capable of reading and writing to RFID tags of multiple frequencies and protocols.

Frequencies currently available on the RFID Bluetooth Reader are 125kHz, 134.2kHz and 13.56MHz.

Transmitting data to any Bluetooth PDA or Bluetooth compatible PC is simple using the Freedom’s wireless technology. Files can be stored on the PDA for later download to a database or uploaded directly to a PC.

The Freedom RFID Adaptor can read the following tags:

• All 134kHz ISO 11784/11785 Standard
• 134kHz half and full duplex animal tags
• 13.56MHz ISO15693, ISO 18000
• 13.56MHz Philips ICode
• 13.56MHz Texas Instruments Tag-It
• HiTags H48, H56
• Sokymat Unique 125kHz

Because of its rechargeable self-contained batteries, the Freedom RFID Bluetooth Adaptor does not derive power from an external power source and will not drain the batteries in the PDA. If additional battery life is required, 4-AA batteries can be installed.

The handheld reader also functions as a stationary reader using the supplied AC charger.

Demonstration Application PC Software and PDA Software for Palm and Pocket PC are provided with the scanner. Operating System Requirements: Microsoft Windows XP only; Microsoft Windows Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher. Software source files are free and available for developers upon request.
