The wireless RFID
Adaptor capable of reading and writing to RFID tags of multiple
frequencies and protocols – now with an extended antenna!
The Freedom EA has been specifically modified for use with TEK’s
Pistol Grip External Antenna (PGA) accessory. An
Internal/External switch allows the user easy access to the
correct mode. When used in conjunction with the optional PGA, an
extra 18 inches of “arm” is added to your reach. Includes all
features of the original Freedom and is capable of reading and
writing to multiple RFID tags. Transmitting data to any
Bluetooth PDA or Bluetooth compatible PC is simple using the
Freedom’s wireless technology. Files can be stored on the PDA
for later download to a database or uploaded directly to a PC.
The Freedom is self-contained and because of its own
rechargeable batteries does not need to draw power from the PDA
or other external source. It can also be used as a stationary
reader with the included AC adaptor. If expected field usage
will exceed the rechargeable battery life, the user can install
4-AA Alkaline batteries.
Frequencies currently available on the RFID Bluetooth Reader are
125kHz, 134.2kHz and 13.56MHz.

Demonstration Application PC Software and PDA Software for Palm and
Pocket PC are provided with the scanner. Operating System
Requirements: Microsoft Windows XP only; Microsoft Windows Pocket PC
2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher. Software source files are free
and available for developers upon request.
