iButton Data Collection
Touch Flashpen 2000 Data Collection Device (DCD)

The TEK handheld, rugged, microprocessor based data collection device housed in a cylindrical metal that is compact and small enough to fit into your pocket. The TEK FTP2000™ DCD is designed to read information/data/temperature stored in an iButton™ touch Memory device. The iButton™ is a dime-size stainless steel case which houses a silicon memory chip with an unalterable, unique serial number for positive verification with a touch from the TEK Flashpen 2000™ DCD. The TEK Flashpen 2000™ DCD time and date stamps information read from and to the iButton™ to give you the who, what, when, where and status information essential to the accuracy and timeliness of your data collection needs.
The TEK FTP2000™ DCD weighs less than one-half pound, measures just 5.9 inches long by 0.875 inches in diameter, is powered by an easily replaceable Duracell DL2/3A 3 Volt lithium battery, and is comfortable to hold and use. The TEK Flashpen 2000™ DCD features an upgradeable firmware in a standard 4 Megabit flash memory for enhanced data capture capacity and security. Among the features are the ability to read and write TMEX formatted Touch Memory iButtons™ "raw" format dumped data, browse download capability, programmable beep tones and volume settings. Firmware revisions, updates, and enhancements can be uploaded in the field by placing the TEK Flashpen 2000™ DCD in the TEK iButton Cradle® DTS, and running the update program. Data gathered and stored in the TEK Flashpen 2000™ DCD is downloaded to your computer using the hands free TEK iButton Cradle® Data Transfer Station. It also complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with all applicable CE requirements.
The TEK Intrinsically Safe Flash Pen 2000™ (DCD)

The TEK Intrinsically Safe Rated Flashpen iButton 2000™ Data Collection Device (DCD) is believed to be the only true handheld, portable iButton™ data collection device that is rated intrinsically safe for gathering data in hazardous and explosive environments. The exposed metal surface of the TEK Intrinsically Safe Flashpen iButton 2000™ DCD is machined brass and offers the same industrial ruggedness and durability as the TEK Flashpen iButton 2000™ family of DCD's. This is ideal for use in the petrochemical, distillate, and other industries where ignitable and explosive gases and vapors may be present.
At less than one-half pound and measuring just 5.9 inches long by 0.875 inches in diameter, it is comfortable to hold and use. The TEK IFTP2000™ is powered by an easily replaceable Duracell DL2/3A 3 Volt lithium battery.
The TEK Intrinsically Safe Rated Flashpen iButton 2000™ DCD is rated for use in Class 1, Divisions 1 and 2, Group A, B, C and D hazardous locations. These groups cover various gases and vapors, from the most ignitable in Group A (Acetylene), to the least ignitable in Group D (Gasoline, Alcohol, Propane and Lacquer solvents).
Data gathered and stored in your TEK Intrinsically Safe Rated Flashpen iButton 2000™ DCD is downloaded to your computer using the hands free TEK iButton CRADLE® Data Transfer Station. Data download must be performed outside of the hazardous/explosive environment.
The iButton Bluetooth Download Transfer Station (DTS)

The iButton Bluetooth Download Transfer Station (DTS) provides a wireless connection from the TEK Touch Pen to any Bluetooth compatible PDA. Data stored on a Touch Pen can be downloaded wirelessly to a PDA and stored for safekeeping until it can be uploaded to the main database. This allows the Touch Pen to read buttons in multiple locations before needing to return to a central office. Using an iButton DTS, Touch Pen data can also be uploaded directly to a Bluetooth compatible PC. The Download Transfer Station will directly read and transmit an iButton's serial number and RAM.
The iButton DTS is self-contained and because of its own rechargeable batteries does not need to draw power from the PDA or other external source. It can also be used as a stationary iButton reader with the included AC adaptor. If expected field usage will exceed the rechargeable 8-hour battery life, the user can install 4-AA Alkaline batteries.

TEK EXECUTOUR Ins™ pection Software System
The EXECUTOUR™ Inspection System provides an easy, cost effective method of reporting wherever a route must be verified to a client or customer.
This Windows-based software, when coupled with any member of the TEK Industries, Inc. family of Data Collection Devices, satisfies the questions of who, what, when and where parameters of an inspection management system.
EXECUTOUR™ associates specific employees, locations, and incidents with unique electronically identifiable iButtons™. The employee uses any one of the TEK Industries Data Collection Devices to record his/her progress by touching iButtons™ at designated locations along the route. Each time an iButton™ is touched, its serial number is stored in the device along with a date and time stamp. If one or more incidents are detected at a location, an incident iButton™ is touched.
All of these recorded events are stored in the memory of the Data Collection Device with the time and date appended.
Upon completion of the route, the Data Collection Device is downloaded into the EXECUTOUR™ Inspection System. The information downloaded to the system is analyzed against the defined route paths, allowing the generation of reports to a text file. Report files document the routes thus providing increased productivity, verification for insurance purposes, and enhanced quality control.
