TEK Industries, located in Vernon, Connecticut, is a full service electronic contract manufacturer. TEK designs, develops, and manufacturers custom electronic products serving a broad range of Military, Medical, RF, Industrial, Security & Access Control, Telecom and Commercial applications.

Research and Design Engineers provide services including consulting, hardware, software (networked, stand-alone and embedded). TEK also specializes in PCB and system designs as well.

TEK specializes in services such as automated and hand assemblies, subcontract services, prototypes, turnkey systems, mechanical and cable assemblies. Value added services such as functional testing are performed on all assemblies; parametric and customized Bed of Nails testing is available.

TEK's History

TEK Industries, Inc. is a US based corporation, founded in 1984 by president and sole owner, Mark Matheny. TEK specializes in engineering, contract manufacturing, and custom R&D. The company has been instrumental in development, design and manufacturing of products for the military and medical fields, as well as security, industrial, telecom, and access control.

A leader in the RFID industry, TEK developed security tracking for the U.S. military and data collection for the U.S. Postal Service. Telecommunications products include telephone amplifier buttons for SNET and Bell Telephone.

TEK Industries has been recognized by business and government associations with multiple awards, such as Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award, in 1991; The State Of Connecticut's Governor's award for outstanding progress in exporting, in 1995, and the Small Business Associations' Small Business Person of the Year, 1996. The company has been the recipient of additional acknowledgements from fellow business partners, such as Microchip. President, Mark Matheny, has been listed in publications, regarding RFID development, and featured in the March 2004 issue of Business Solutions.
